River Oaks Golf Course
River Oaks Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina provides the ideal experience for golfers of all abilities. The Plantation features 27 exciting holes of golf designed by Gene Hamm and Tom Jackson, as well as a public driving range.
Three nines are here to challenge the visiting golfers, each named for animals found in their natural habitats when the course was developed – Fox, Otter, and Bear. Take your pick and you’re sure to enjoy!
Renovated in 2007-2010
The golf course opened to public play in 1987, where it became the 27th course built in Myrtle Beach. A renovation project began in 2007 and they completed it 3 years later. The course removed 4000 trees to allow for better growing conditions for tee boxes and greens. Storm drainage and cart path re-paving were also completed during this project. The course was one of the first along the Grand Strand to utilize Ultra Dwarf Champions Bermuda greens. River Oaks Golf Club has become known for its consistent conditions and value-priced play.
River Oaks joined the Myrtle Beach Golf Trail in 2019. Choose from among 22 great area courses. Promotions include free replays, gift cards, and many others. Other nearby courses include Shaftesbury Glen, International Club, Blackmoor, and Wachesaw East.
